The Dish: 'This Is Us' star drops by Greenwich restaurant - twice - Westport News

Scene… “This is Us” star Justin Hartley and his wife, Sofia Pernas, his former co-star on “The Young and the Restless,” were seen at Eastend restaurant on Greenwich Avenue on May 27, eating dinner and chatting with Sal LoBalbo of LoBalbo Auto Body in Stamford. Hartley, who is in the area to film “The Noel Diary” for Netflix, was also seen there on Thursday night. Netflix is also making “The Good Nurse” in the area with actors Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne.

Out there… Miku Sushi and the Allan Houston Legacy Foundation are partnering in June to raise money and awareness for its FISLL Project. which promotes faith, integrity, sacrifice, leadership and legacy. Miku’s chef developed a special menu to promote the youth empowerment initiative, and 100 percent of the proceeds from sales this month will benefit the foundation. Since its creation in 2001, the foundation has helped thousands of participants in programs that promote youth mentoring, responsible fatherhood and entrepreneurship. Scene… New York Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole, who lives in Greenwich, was seen eating breakfast with his wife, Amy, outside Granola on Greenwich Avenue on Tuesday morning.

Out there… The 34th annual Bruce Museum Gala takes place outdoors at a private estate in Greenwich at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 12. The Green Gala honoring Susan E. Lynch, former president and CEO of the museum, will feature a sit-down dinner with local and farm-to-table ingredients, cocktails, entertainment, and live and silent auctions. Scene… America’s favorite judge, Greenwich resident Judge Judy Sheindlin, was seen having a bite to eat while reading the New York Post outside Aux Delices on West Elm Street on Wednesday morning.

Coming soon… Macelleria Italian Steakhouse is opening at the former location of Char on South Water Street in Byram. The eatery, owned by restaurateur Anthony Lala, also has locations in Pelham and Armonk, N.Y.

Out there… The Old Greenwich Merchants Association will hold its third annual Art in the Park in Binney Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 6. The event will feature over 30 local and new artists, who will exhibit their work and offer it for sale to the public. Madison artist Hilary Griffin, a Greenwich native and daughter of former First Selectman John Margenot, will be displaying her paintings of beach scenes, parks and sites in the area. On another note… Re-Imagine Greenwich is hosting Free Music Fridays at Greenwich Common. The downtown concert series will feature a performance by Billy G. and the Boys from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on June 11. The concerts, which will run through Sept. 4, are free and open to the public.
