Buddy is back! Fans of Cake Boss’s Buddy Valastro can join the baking mastermind for his new Christmas-themed competition Buddy vs. Christmas, premiering tonight, Nov. 22, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Food Network and TLC. You can also stream the new series on FuboTV or Philo.
In the new four-episode series, Buddy and his team of bakers square off against master builders and artisans whose skills lie outside the kitchen — an award-winning scenic designer, a glassblower, an animatronics expert and a LEGO builder. They have 24 hours to design spectacular creations that capture the festive spirit, from life-size gingerbread houses to snow globes to drivable sleigh cakes and talking reindeer. Judging their works are cartoonist/comedian Jason Chatfield and lifestyle blogger Courtney Quinn, who will crown the winner in the final episode.
The series was filmed before a recent accident at his home that required emergency hand surgery for Buddy. Fans can follow Buddy’s road to recovery during a two-hour special on TLC, premiering Dec. 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The special documents the emotional journey involving worried family members, multiple surgeries, grueling physical therapy, and his first days back at work, where he must face a formidable question: Can you still be the Cake Boss if you can’t make cakes?
