Following Monday's storms, viewers have been emailing us about area outages.
KWWL Station Manager John Huff said, "KWWL is currently off the air on DIRECTV and Dish Network due to power and structural issues at their receive sites. Our engineers are working with them to help find a solution to restore our signal through their systems. You should be able to pick up our signal with an over the air antenna if you have one."
As of noon Tuesday, Alliant Energy was reporting 198,000 customers in Iowa and Wisconsin without power. Mid-American Power is showing roughly 18,000 without power in Iowa City.
Phone service is also being affected.
We've reached out to MediaComm as well, they tell us 340,000 customers are offline now. That's for Iowa and Northern Illinois. The region that covers Dubuque and the Quad Cities has 116,000 customers offline.
