If you're a DISH Network customer, you will no longer have access to Scripps' local station until an agreement between both companies is decided.
Cincinnati-based E.W. Scripps Company is working on getting a new contract agreement with DISH so the terms are fair and reasonable for both parties. Scripps owns WCPO locally.
Officials say DISH is "refusing to negotiate" a fair agreement, resulting in customers missing out on news and other content.
“Without an agreement in place, DISH subscribers are now missing out on our stations’ essential news, weather and entertainment programming,” said Brian Lawlor, president of Local Media for Scripps.
This is the first time Scripps has ever gone dark with a pay-TV distributor.
“We hope DISH will recognize the importance of our programming to its customers and our viewers and help us to resolve this dispute," Lawlor said.
